Red Line Boundary Surveys

Boundary determination & Land Registry plans

Establishing exactly where a boundary sits, and setting it out on a plan that stands up.

We interpret the title deeds, measure what is actually on the ground, and produce a scaled red line plan suitable for solicitors, Land Registry applications and boundary disputes.

Fees Tailored To The Plot

Every boundary is different. Fees depend on:

A red line boundary survey compares the legal boundary described in the title deeds with the physical features on site — the fences, walls and hedges that people treat as the boundary.

We carry out a measured survey of the plot, overlay it against the registered title plan and Ordnance Survey mapping, and mark the extent of the land in red on a scaled drawing.

Title plans are indicative only and are drawn at small scale, so they rarely settle an argument on their own. A measured red line plan gives your solicitor something precise to work from.

Frequently Asked Questions

Usually not. Title plans are drawn at small scale and show general boundaries only, so they cannot tell you where a line sits to the centimetre. A measured red line plan does.
